Skype has updated its application for Android. And the biggest new feature is the addition of video, even if it is only supported by some models of smartphones.

In a post on his blog, Skype announced yesterday on his blog's new in the update of its application on the Android platform, Google. The software, which allows phone calls over the Internet VoIP, now offer video calls on smartphones operating system from Google, as is the case of iPhone, Mac or PC.

The course is required for Skype and will operate in Wi-Fi and 3G. It is, however, that a first step, because Skype announced that users must have version 2.3 of Android and that only the HTC Desire S, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro and Google Nexus S, equipped with a front camera is compatible. But the company ensures that many other models will be "quickly".

Skype also took the opportunity to review the design of its application on Android, hoping to make it more intuitive and easy for its users
