Many a times you would have found out that it takes a long to shut down the computer runing windows Xp..
Here is the trick to shut down it faster
Start Regedit. (by typing regedit in the run command in the start menu)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
Click on the "Control" Folder.
Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
It will currently be around 20000
(Time in milliseconds which it waits to terminate a program)
Right click on it and select Modify.
Set it a value lower than 2000 and above 200
ur Xp will now shut down faster
CAUTION going extra pranks (which is not suggested above) in the registry editor may be dangerous.
