There's been a lot of fear factor pushed into the AdSense publishing business lately. People talk about getting banned or having their sites de-indexed like it was to be expected. All of this talk and fear scares people away from putting up informative content sites that have the opportunity to make a lot of money with AdSense. Don't let this hearsay scare you! If you play the cards by the rules, your AdSense account won't get banned and your websites won't get de-indexed. Here are a few tips to help you make more money when you do start an AdSense publishing business. I really believe that the keyword research is the most important part of optimizing the amount of money you make for the work that you do. If you work smarter instead of harder, you will be able to work less yet make the same amount or even more money. The best niches to get into when looking to make more money with AdSense are product based niches. This is because most people who search for products are usually looking to buy. Since you will have nothing to sell on your website, the ads that are selling the products will be very enticing to the visitor. This is why the click through rates of product based niches are so much higher. The first step you need to take is to identify a product keyword phrase that is garnering a lot of attention through the Google search engine. There are a lot of ways to get ideas on phrases that people might be searching for. Check out TradeKey.com or Amazon.com for a whole bunch of ideas. The even list their products out from bestselling on down so you can already get an idea of what types of products people might be searching for. Next you must take those keywords and plug them into a keyword tool to get a rough approximation of how many people are in fact searching for those terms each month. The only parameter I use here is to make sure that the 'exact' keywords are getting searched on at least 1,000 times a month. Once we know that the keywords are getting searched on then we need to check the competition to see how easy or how difficult it will be to rank. I don't care too much about the number or quantity of competition for the keyword phrase. I am more concerned at the quality or how strong the competition is. What you want to see is low PR websites taking the top few positions. Pages of content that aren't the main page are going to be easier to beat. Look at the number of back links and then use a tool to check out what kind of back links they are getting. Thousands and thousands of back links don't necessarily mean that the website is unbeatable. It is the quality of the back links they are getting that is important. These are just a few keyword research factors for AdSense websites. Once you start putting more websites up and go through this process more often, you will get a hang of what to look for and understand better how much work it will really take to make money with that website |
