A lot of people complain about their accounts with Google 1. Clicking on your own ads If you're doing this, or thinking of doing this as a way to boost your income, stop it's pretty stupid. For starters if you are using the same computer that you would use to work on your site and post from, Google will know it's you. Of course they allow the occasional "accidental" click. But if they see dozens of clicks from you, your account will be banned. 2. Excessive profanity To be honest I don't know what Google considers to be excessive profanity, and I've heard different numbers from different people. The point is don't swear it looks unprofessional. Save the swearing for rant blogs or that you don't make money from. 3. Promoting the following If your website or blog promotes the following your account will be banned a. Any weapons such as knives or guns (I have seen some exceptions to this rule) b. Porn c. Tobacco, alcohol, and drugs d. Promotes hate 4. Made for AdSense sites of MFA's These are websites that have been designed specifically to get visitors to click on their ads. Generally they provide either very little actual content, poor content, or copied content. Either way these kinds of sites offer there visitors nothing except to try to trick you into clicking there ads. 5. Pages with no content Google loves content; the people who visit your site want to see good content. So don't throw up a bunch of pages with nothing but ads on them and expect people or the search engines to be happy with your site. Not only will your account be banned for doing so. But those who visit your site won't come back, essentially killing any chance you had of making money from them. 6. Don't ask others to click on your ads This means don't ask people through email, other websites, or putting things on your website such as a banner to try to convince others to click on your ads. 7. Click rings I've seen this a lot on blog hosting sites in the past. What this is is somebody will post saying if you click on my ad I'll return the favour and click on yours. Others post comments with their link and people click on there ads. Most of those who I've seen do these either get kicked off those sites have their 8. No privacy policy If your site has In conclusion if you follow the rules, keep up to date with AdSense's policies and guidelines, and don't do what I listed above, your account should remain in good standing. |
